On September 12th, a remarkable milestone was achieved in the offshore industry. We proudly announce the successful production and departure of 10 extraordinary mooring lines, a critical part of the Liuhua 11-1/4-1 Oil Field Secondary Development Project. Developed and produced independently by FBR, these mooring lines are truly exceptional in every way.
The Liuhua 11-1/4-1 secondary development project is currently underway in the deepwater oil field of the South Sea, China. This project will involve the development of new horizontal wells, sidetracks, and existing wells at the two fields, with new drilling, production and subsea installations.
These mooring lines, independently developed by FBR, represent an extraordinary achievement with a length of 1300 meters, a diameter of Ø274 mm, and a maximum breaking load of 2306 tons. These super-length, super-strength mooring lines are engineered to withstand extreme conditions, including fierce typhoons and waves exceeding 10 meters in height.
This achievement represents a significant milestone for FBR as we are responsible for designing, producing, transporting, and delivering these domestically manufactured polyester mooring lines for the Liuhua project.
After meticulous scrutiny and approval, these mooring lines have embarked on a journey to their destination --Asia's first cylindrical FPSO unit for the Liuhua project.
