Recently, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology announced the 2023 list of advanced (future) technological innovation achievements in Zhejiang Province, and the "Marine high wear-resistant polyester cable" technological innovation achievements declared by Zhejiang Four Brothers Rope Industry Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as four Brothers Rope Industry) were successfully selected.
After years of core technology research and development, the Marine high-wear-resistant polyester cable developed by four Brothers is the first ultra-large diameter, ultra-long and high-strength deep-water polyester cable in China. The diameter of the product reaches 270mm, the length reaches 1000 meters, the minimum breaking force reaches 2186 tons, and the design life is 30 years, which meets the mooring requirements of far-reaching deepwater oil and gas production platforms.
The cable adopts the independent innovation of anti-tension torsion neutral torque sub rope design, braided cable to form the force core of parallel structure, improve the force uniformity of the sub rope, improve the strength of the rope core, further improve the overall stiffness of the polyester cable, and effectively avoid the torsion risk. The products have passed the third-party certification of the International Classification Society and reached the international advanced level, and the four Brothers Rope industry has thus become the first and only chemical fiber rope manufacturer in China to master the production equipment design, product development and production of "deep sea mooring cable". It has broken the long-term monopoly of Europe and the United States on deep-sea water mooring cables for deep-sea oil and gas platforms, and realized the independent and controllable key technologies of deep-sea mooring cables for major national Marine equipment.
The Marine high-wear-resistant polyester cable developed and produced by the Four Brothers Rope industry has been successfully applied to the 100,000-ton deepwater semi-submersible production and storage platform "Deep-sea No. 1" project, and will continue to play a role in other deep-sea oil production and storage platforms.
