On April 7, 2023, the 2023 Taiwan flood prevention work of COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry was held in Zhoushan. This meeting aims to thoroughly implement the spirit of instructions of COSCO Shipping Group and COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry leaders on Taiwan flood prevention work, and fully deploy the work of Taiwan flood prevention in 2023. The participating COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry's shipbuilding and repair companies reported and exchanged their experiences in Taiwan prevention in 2022 and Taiwan prevention plans for key projects in 2023.
As an important tool for mooring and platform prevention at ship docks, the cable has been highly valued by the shipyars. Zhejiang Four Brothers Rope Industry Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as Four Brothers Rope Industry) was honored to be invited to participate in the cable industry. Li Yanxi, vice chairman/deputy general manager of Four Brothers Rope industry, gave a special training on the use and management of the cable around the material characteristics of the cable and international industry norms, which was affirmed by the participants.
Before the meeting, the delegates visited the production areas of Zhoushan COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry Dock and other production areas, and observed and exchanged the simulated anti-platform cable situation of the ship in Dock 1.
At the meeting, Li Yanxi introduced the major differences between mooring and anti-platform work during the operation of offshore platforms and merchant ships and during the construction of ships, analyzed the performance of cables under different working conditions and different materials in detail, and was the first and only cable manufacturer in China to obtain the type approval of DNV classification societies based on the OCIMF MEG4 requirements of the Fourth Edition of Mooring Code Guide. From the perspective of the current international advanced mooring equipment guide MEG4, to provide professional opinions and suggestions for COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry 2023 key project Taiwan prevention program.
